Craig Willoughby’s dream was to have a respected family construction business. He paid the dues over a long and extensive career to see his dream come true. Joining Craig, sons Bryan and Jason Willoughby are the next generation to distinguish the family name.

Craig Willoughby, President, Licensed General Contractor and General Manager, founded Willoughby Construction in 2008. A veteran leadership team member for one of South Florida’s largest and most prolific commercial construction and development firms, Willoughby launched this company with only two goals: work side by side with his sons and deliver elite luxury construction projects. His practice is unadorned but in so many ways, revolutionary. “Do the work. Spend the time engrossed in every detail, from the most obvious to the smallest, as you would if it were your own home.”
Craig Willoughby has over 40 years experience. He knows every job on a construction project, having worked as a superintendent and progressing to become a builder and developer in Steamboat Springs, Colorado.
Prior to founding Willoughby Construction, he completed commercial and residential projects totaling in excess of 5,500,000 square feet, with a project value over $300 million. Craig Willoughby counts his personal integrity and stellar reputation as two of his greatest achievements. In the same breath he mentions “family success and being a husband and father.” Craig Willoughby holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Miami University. He is OSHA Certified and a Licensed Florida General Contractor.
Bryan Willoughby, Vice President and Senior Project Manager at Willoughby Construction. He began in the industry as a youngster, curiously roaming the custom home construction sites his father built in Steamboat Springs, Colorado. This was the spark that ignited Bryan’s interest in construction. From day one he has been an ardent student of the industry, learning the discipline and sharing Craig Willoughby’s eye for detail and function. Like his brother, Jason, Bryan has earned and continues to earn every stripe on his journey within the company. He continues to do so as a vital member of the leadership team, always concerned with how Willoughby Construction can stay on the leading edge in its methods, technologies and service.
Bryan’s specialization and passion lie in the research and application of new technology and finishes for the luxury space. He’s commented that irrespective of building style, fit, finish and function are the holy grails. Bryan holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Florida Atlantic University.
Jason Willoughby, Vice President and Senior Project Manager at Willoughby Construction. Jason brings extensive experience in the luxury condominium domain. His ability to align his methodology with clients’ vision and exacting tastes has accounted for numerous successful projects in the specialized, ultra-luxury market.
Under the umbrella of his role as Vice President, Jason exceeds at true value engineering where the value is not always in immediate savings however in long term savings due to quality of the build and lasting materials. He’s careful to note value engineering does not mean making a material or finish cheaper. “Value engineering means researching, vetting and presenting the most efficient options when factoring the total picture of durability, function and maintenance.”
With his background in Finance, Jason works directly with clients on the project budget, taking great pride in his step-by-step analysis, comprehensive explanation and presentation of pre-construction cost estimates. Jason holds a Finance degree in Business Administration from the University of Central Florida.
